“Listen and Learn!” that’s what STV production’s head Tony continually preaches to his eager assistant Michael, a “wanna-be” director. Tony’s at the top…of the bottom of the movie business. A producer of soft-core films  / erotic thrillers, Tony feels like King. He has it all, a rich wife (the daughter of a major studio executive), a cushy job and as much sex as he can handle with the ‘wanna be’ stars of his films! Plus he’s found a formula that works: shoot it fast, edit faster, and throw in some nudity and bingo, instant cash in on the video market. Ah! What a life. And he actually likes his tacky little movies. All is well in Tony’s little kingdom until….

Kirsten, Tony’s latest blonde bombshell, decides she’s played the game long enough. If Tony won’t give her a lead role in his next film, she’ll quit. And she’ll take Tony down with her! After one quick ‘heart-to-heart’ talk with Tori, Tony’s wife, Kirsten’s revenge is in motion. Tori immediately calls Tony on the set and kicks him out of the house so Tony is forced to move back home with his mum.

To make matters worse, Tony’s STV investors decide to put India Allen, a former Playboy Playmate of the year, under contract as an actress. This would be great apart from one minor detail; the new star comes with script approval, a boyfriend and an attitude! Tony’s ‘formula’ is going down the drain…

Now, in panic to regain control of his company, Tony adds a few more names to his already long list of enemies. And, oddly enough, Tony’s enemies are being murdered one by one. First it’s Kristen, his beautiful ex-starlet. Then it’s James, India’s wealthy hunk of a boyfriend. Detective Boyle believes it’s an open and shut case. But is the killer actually the unscrupulous producer? Or, is it some other equally twisted soul, killing off the players in an attempt to move up the production ladder? Only the final cut will tell you the answers in “Almost Hollywood”.
